Welcome to the Buford to Duluth Area Spring-Green Lawn Care Service

Everyone has different goals for their lawns. Indeed, each yard is different as to what it needs to thrive. At Spring-Green, we have three different lawn care services for you to choose from based on your budget and your yard care needs, two of which are described below:

Preferred Program

This is our most popular lawn care program. With the Preferred Program, you get up to seven lawn applications that contain nutrients based on your soil and turf needs as well as broadleaf weed control (such as dandelions and clovers). Your Field Service Professional (FSP) will leave you notes after each visit with suggestions to improve your lawn with add-ons specifically formulated for the region you live in.

We’ll apply our fertilization applications based on the time of season. Your yard care program will include:

  • Early Spring – Your Field Service Professional, or FSP, will assess your lawn during this first visit and apply the best products to help your lawn get off to a great start. Controlling weeds that have germinated and are growing, along with applying products to prevent new ones, like crabgrass, are an important aspect of this application. Your lawn may still be dormant, but the weeds are still growing. The fewer weeds you have now, the less there will be in the Southern summer.

  • Spring – Making sure your Lawrenceville and surrounding area lawn gets off to a good start is the number one job for your FSP. By, your lawn is growing well, but so are broadleaf weeds. Dandelions, clover, thistles and many other weeds are trying to out-compete with your lawn. This is also the start of lawn damaging insect activity, such as chinch bugs, mole crickets and Red Imported Fire Ants. Making sure you are aware of problems or concerns, if any, is an important element of the partnership Spring-Green has with our customers. We rely on you to keep us informed of any weed problems or other lawn and landscape concerns that may occur between visits. By working together, we can help provide you with the lawn you always wanted.

  • Early Summer – Applying the right fertilizer at the appropriate time along with controlling weeds is just part of an FSP’s job. Chinch bugs, mole crickets and Red Imported Fire Ants continue to attack lawns throughout the summer. Having a thick, well-fed lawn will prevent many of these weeds from gaining a foothold. Applying the right amount of fertilizer and controlling weeds is the best thing to do to keep your lawn healthy and growing well. Be sure to raise your mower at this time of year to allow the grass to develop deep roots and keep weeds from germinating.

  • Mid-season Evaluation – Your FSP will complete this evaluation either electronically or on paper and provide a copy to you. In this assessment, you’ll learn how your lawn is progressing so far this year and what additional services will help your lawn continue to thrive in the conditions unique to Georgia. Some services may include Fire Ant Control, Flea and Tick Control, Grub Control, Mosquito Control, Multi Step Tree Program, Ornamental Weed Control, Perimeter Pest Control, Root Specialty Injections, Sub-surface Damaging Insects, Surface Feeding Insect Control, and Total Lawn Insect Control.

  • Summer – Summer is supposed to be fun, but it is also the time of year when insect activity can be at its highest. Besides applying the proper nutrients your lawn requires and staying on top of any weed growth by targeting these weeds on an as needed basis, your FSP will check for insect activity in your lawn. Mowing and watering properly at this time of year can mean the difference between a good and great lawn. Be sure you follow the recommendations that you receive from your FSP.

  • Fall – Summer weeds are some of the toughest weeds to control, but Spring-Green is up to the challenge. Spraying for weeds and applying the right nutrients to keep your lawn healthy during the summer are our main goals. Fall Army Worms is a major pest of warm season turfgrasses. Be sure you protect your lawn and yourself from this major insect pest.

  • Late Fall – As your lawn begins to enter its dormant period and the growing slows down, weeds continue to be a major concern. Your FSP will apply the right products to control fall germinating weeds and early germinating annual weeds, like crabgrass and annual bluegrass, also known as poa annua. If your lawn had problems with Brown Patch or Large Patch this past spring, now is the time to treat for this disease.

  • Winterizer – It is time to put your lawn to bed for the winter. Even though the temperatures are dropping, your lawn’s root system continues to grow. Broadleaf weeds do keep on growing, even when the weather turns cool. The normal treatment season for lawns in Georgia normally ends early winter.
